I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics Education at Jeju National University.

Before that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at UNIST within the UNIST Number Theory Group, and at Incheon National University in the Republic of Korea. I obtained my PhD in July 2019 under the supervision of Alfred Geroldinger as part of the doctoral program DK Discrete Mathematics at the University of Graz in Austria.

My research interests are in commutative algebra, with a focus on non-unique factorizations of rings and monoids, and in combinatorial and additive number theory, with a focus on the study of product-one sequences over finite groups.
